Two-thirds of Kenyans depend on the crops they grow and the animals they keep for their livelihoods and survival. Yet much of the country is classified as arid or semi-arid. The increased frequency of drought and competition over scarce water resources, coupled with the outbreak of animal disease, has left pastoralists especially vulnerable to hunger.

Cumberland’s Front Roll-Out Nesting System is available in 8’ (2.44m) length with either 16 or 20 holes, double belt models. It features universal parts, a closeout lid to restrict bird access. The front aisle tray covers allows access for egg collection in case of a power failure and easier cleanout and maintenance. The removable plastic nest bottoms make them easy to clean and are available with 2 styles of crushed leaf nest pads. Our Collection tables offer a completely pre-wired, variable speed control with “soft start” feature and a 6' (1.83m) speed control cord for location flexibility, and a large 32" x 38" (81.3cm x 96.5 cm) table collection surface. The table also features removable egg guide trays for easy cleaning.

The single belt, Center Roll Nest features a comfortable, safe and easily accessible laying area reducing bird stress and promoting enhanced hatchability. Available in 12 hole and 10 hole units, this nest is a proven and dependable choice. Optional wooden perch brackets are available with either 3 or 5 board assemblies with double – riveted support brackets to eliminate sway. Plastic, corrosion resistant nest bottoms with large openings help keep litter from building up without losing strength. The contour helps funnel eggs to the belt with ease. 2 styles of collection tables are available to accommodate all growers’ preference. All collection tables come with pre-wired, variable speed controls with “soft start” feature, and adjustable overhead culling shelves with fluorescent lights.
